I feel sorry for her. What teenager wants to live their life in a fishbowl because of who her parents are and not have normal teenage fun without everyone commenting on it? It's not like she's exposing her breasts or shooting up drugs. I am amused to relate my wife did the former back in the day (70s)

OTOH, I do agree the press is treating her differently than it did the Bush daughters, but that is just another example of its bias.

I don't feel sorry for Malia at all. She's protected from the slings and arrows in many ways. Her parents, my parents and your parents would protect us in the same way. Malia lives a privileged life with no shortage of fun, travel, friends, entertainment, trendy clothes, servants plus physical protection along with psychological protection.

Some nasty criticism stuff probably does get through to her now and then, but I doubt if it causes any severe depression or breakdowns because she's in a happy stage of her life at the present time.

The only thing I feel sorry about as it concerns her is her unfortunate lot in life to have two ideologically-warped parents who are setting their two daughters on a marxist path they will certainly never stray from their whole lives.
