I had no idea that lions ever went for elephants. I guess extreme hunger knows no bounds.

Looks like a young elephant, somehow got lost from the herd. I doubt they would try that on a full grown bull. I have seen films of them taking down baby elephants.

My first thought was the elephant should walk out into the water. Took him a while but he figured that out.

And it looks like a very young elephant, too, so I guess they thought they could take it.

I wonder where the rest of its family is.
