Michigan Police are having a professor build 3D fingerprints to attempt to unlock a murdered man's iPhone. Too bad it won't work because they have forgotten that if an iPhone is not accessed for 48 hours, or it has been shut down or reset, the only way to unlock it is to input the owner's passcode or AppleID. Fingerprint TouchID will not work. The latest version of iOS is now requiring passcode for inactivity after six hours. There is no way this iPhone will be unlocked even if non-living 3D copies of finger prints could do such a thing (they've been tried before and failed.) PING! Pinging dayglored, ThunderSleeps for your ping lists.
