Just wondering how everybody's DOR is doing? It's 7:22pm.
According to numerous posts here on FR and elsewhere, all hell is breaking loose in Washington DC, Atlanta, Tampa, Orlando, Baltimore, Boston, Detroit, Lansing, Ann Arbor, Manhattan, Newark, Durham, Columbus, Cleveland, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh at this hour.
In Lansing I live about a mile and a half from the protest site. A helicopter flew over my house around 3 pm, which was a bit unusual. I’m not dead yet. Just watching the Tigers game.
We're probably too boring, anyway we're way too caught up in KC Royals mania still, having our own Eric Hosmer named MVP in the All Stars Game, while Ned Yost coached and Salvi Perez shined against the National League members!
the Day of Rage seems to have been upstaged by the Day of AtaTurk.
Day of rage? Well, it’s been in the high 90’s all week(I’m on The Jersey Shore) the humidity is awful, couldn’t find my car keys so I had borrow the wife’s set and was late getting to work, work was busy, my central ac has been acting up and my sister-in-law popped in for a surprise visit and , oh yeah, the cat got out. Day Of Rage? I dunno. Sure has been a Day Of Many Pains In The Ass.
I”m glad you got her home safe and cozy, Dp0622. I read your post yesterday and was worried about y’all.
Are we talking about the day of rage....in Turkey!
You should charge him for taking your pollen.
That is what the seed manufacturers do.
Pumpkins are very prolific, and there’d be 1 main reason why you didn’t get any fruit, if you had healthy flowers: No pollinating insects. Are any nearby fields using pesticides? Any possibility of “chemical drift” into your fields?
Give it a day and someone will be bitching about the Turks sucking up the air time.
These new Pokemon Goers can go anywhere.
BLM ringleaders “Oh ****. Someone just found a Pokemon heading into our protest and is chasing it without even looking. Now what do we do?”
I wouldn’t go to Hanoi in the Hill Country (Austin) to pee if it was on fire so... don’t know - don’t care.
I took my grandson to see “The Secret Life of Pets”. Tickets cost only $5 a piece. My “Day of Rage” happened when I saw a small popcorn cost $6, a small drink $6, and a candy bar $4.50. We passed and went to a restaurant after the movie. It was cheaper.
Dear Dupont. My sunflowers are very precious to me and give me great delight. They are a heirloom variety and I am now concerned that your hybrid will cross-pollinate my heirloom, destroying the line I’ve worked 30 years to develop. However, I am willing to sell them to you for US $1M each. Please have your attorney contact me to arrange the transaction. Best Regards, you.
“Turks be raciss!”
Not only have the demonstrations for today’s Day of Rage been preempted, but this whole Turkish uprising, plus the Paris massacre, may just put a giant damper on protests/riots at the Pub Convention this coming week. Will be interesting to see if demonstrations will be curtailed or not. It they do happen, the people in this country are going to turn on the demonstrator/rioters big-time, and Trump is going to be guaranteed the Presidency. So, win, win, whichever way the worm turns.
Day of rage is just a normal Friday night in Chicago. :-)
I think Balding_Eagle had it right. We had the flowers and bees but no fruit. Our crop from the previous year was unreal. We had over 1200 pumpkins on 2 acres. The next year, we used seeds from our biggest pumpkins but did have a drought to deal with. We had gorgeous vines, leaves, flowers and not one single pumpkin.
Two more years of drought after that and we were done with pumpkins.
Holy crap - that almost sounds like something from The Onion! Did they really expect a positive response from such a note?
Our vegetables and herbs that we planted this year - and that INCLUDES THE SUNFLOWERS - are only Heirloom varieties. No hybrids WHAT. SO. EVER.
The herbs are growing like crazy - we can barely keep up - and the tomatoes are already producing and they are DELICIOUS.
Now I suppose Monsanto will hunt me down...
In Manhattan, no rage to be seen, at least on my short commute.
Too bad, I was hoping to see some RRRRRAGE!
Kinda tone deaf, huh. No, sheeple do not live out this way, tyvm.
