HOUSTON, Texas – A Houston city councilman has called for segregation in policing. In the wake of the officer-involved shootings of black men across the country and the assassination of Dallas police officers, the councilman said police should reflect the ethnicity of the particular community where they patrol.
Speaking to Fox 26 in Houston, City Councilman Dwight Boykins (District D), “I think at this point, because of the crisis situation, not in Houston but throughout the country, we need to have officers patrolling areas that reflect the ethnicity [of that community].”
The councilman continued, “Because that will eliminate second-guessing. People know their community; they know their culture; and I think that can make a difference.”

He would also need to delineate exactly the boundaries of the “black communities”
In that case, blacks shouldn’t be allowed to police anybody else.
That is a GREAT idea. Honestly, if that’s what they want, run with it.
Only the black police officers respond to the calls to the inner city. Perfect - that will cause a movement from within the black community to look at the real problem. It will also thwart white officers being ambushed.

I got a feeling this wouldn’t quite pan out as they think. Probably most african-American cops don’t have much tolerance for the crap being put out there on a day to day basis.
Black Lies Matter will still call for frying “pigs in a blanket . . . like bacon” no matter what measures are taken.

What a moron. Didn’t Baltimore teach this idiot that progressives will just as willingly throw black police officers into show trials as they will white ones?
I agree. They think that they’d be getting their bros in and could persuade them to look the other way and ignore their lawlessness. I believe it would turn off the many good and decent hard-working blacks and open their eyes to the core problems.
Absolutely take them up on it. Then they will understand the choices officers have to make. Does the black officer ignore the black suspect because of past racism, or does the black officer take a bullet from the black suspect? The community gets to choose, more crime or more dead black men.
“They know the culture”? Then they should know the culture is the problem, and why they think white people can change the culture they created I do not understand. I don’t think they do either.
Absolutely, remove their opportunities to blame racism and let them live with the consequences of their own choices. It’s they only road to change.
