Cruz Shakes Up Senate Office, Expands Political Operation
National Review ^ | Eliana Johnson & Tim Alberta

Posted on 07/06/2016 2:51:53 PM PDT by Stalwart

Ted Cruz has been conspicuously silent since his return to Capitol Hill from the campaign trail, but the gears, as always, are turning. Behind closed doors Cruz has been supervising the vast expansion of his electoral enterprise, integrating the operations of his campaign team — policy, political, financial — in an effort to harness his newfound national following with an eye on 2020.

Central to these plans is the creation of two new affiliated nonprofits, their names to be announced in the coming days, which will effectively keep Cruz’s political machinery humming over the next four years. These groups, one a 501(c)3 and the other a 501(c)4, will be responsible for everything from championing Cruz’s legislative priorities to maintaining his donor database and coordinating his early-state travel. They will be an outgrowth of Cruz’s existing campaign apparatus, the nucleus of which has remained active in the aftermath of his departure from the race on May 3.

The 2008 GOP convention was held September 1–4, 2008.
McCain announced Palin as his pick on Aug 29, 2008.

My advice to Cruz, get a job, make $10 Billion, create jobs for thousands and thousands of people IN the United States and then run for POTUS.

Being born to a foreign national, Cruz is still ineligible to be POTUS.

Well, you see, this is how the Clintons always rise to the top - unlike Ted. They swallow whatever is dished out to them, suck it up, and get over it. Ted as well as other republicans could learn that lesson from the horrible Clintons. They are Scarlett and Rhett; our party is Ashley Wilkes. And we all know what happened to him.

Less than 2 weeks till the convention, and he reveals this. There is a reason people hated him in the Senate. It is the same reason I never liked him. He reminds me of cases in my family who talk a good game, but are in it for themselves. He sure acts like he has a personality disorder.

Cruz has had his shot. he’s done on the national level. He needs to try to hang on to his senate seat and be happy.

while I like some of Cruz’ politics,
he won’t be any more eligible in 2020 than he is in 2016

maybe he should concentrate on doing his current job better, instead

he could do quite a lot of good things if he focussed on the job the voters have entrusted him with

“Cruz will do everything he can to defeat Trump so he can run in 2020.”
_________________________________________________________

If Cruz believes that BS, all it does is prove that in spite of his Ivy League education, he is a dumb a$$.

After four years of Hitlery and her co-horts giving amnesty to tens of millions of Mexicans and Central Americans, and doing likewise for millions more who will enter the U.S., plus importing millions of muzzies and other backwards “immigrants” from around the world, no Republican will EVER be elected president EVER again.

Likewise, Republican control of the House and Senate will be gone forever.

Cruz is delusional if he thinks he was chosen by God to rule America. And sick in the head.

So I guess Cruz doesn’t plan on working for the rest of his Senate term either. Texas sure got a bad deal when they elected him.

Frankly, the Clintons don’t give a damn!
They are amoral, and have never suffered the heavy burden of a guilty conscience.

Cruz is already planning for Trump to fail. No matter how successful a Trump presidency is, Cruz plans to undermine it and spin it to his political advantage. That tells you all you need to know about Cruz. He puts his political career first, second and last. The country’s well being is a non-factor for him.

Cubanadians are not eligible.

Omar Mateen would have been just as eligible as Ted Cruz in 6 years.

Children of foreign nationals are NOT natural born citizens.
