FBI Director James Comey said "no reasonable prosecutor" would pursue a case but said the likely Democratic presidential nominee was "extremely careless" with classified information.
The decision ends the legal uncertainty that has dogged the Clinton campaign.
Just hours later, she appeared on stage with President Barack Obama.
Neither of them mentioned the case. Instead, Mr Obama offered her an enthusiastic endorsement at the rally in North Carolina - his first appearance with her during the campaign.
He said he believed in Mrs Clinton and there had never been any man or woman more qualified for the presidency.
Mr Comey was highly critical of Mrs Clinton and her staff: "There is evidence that they were extremely careless in their handling of very sensitive, highly classified information."
The FBI's key findings:
-It is possible that "hostile actors" gained access to Mrs Clinton's email account
-There were more than 100 emails that contained classified information when they were sent or received, contrary to her claim she never sent classified emails
-But there was no evidence she had knowingly shared sensitive material
-She did not delete emails in an effort to conceal them

All of the major foreign intelligence services have all of Hillary’s emails. If this clown who calls himself Gucifer can hack into her account, what are the chances that an organization with unlimited resources dedicated to intelligence gathering can’t. Much of the classified information is marked “Confidential.” Often this information can be obtained in open sources. However, some of the emails contained “Compartmented Information.” This is the type of information that, if released, could cause the deaths of covert sources. FBI Director Comey’s speech reminded me of JAMA’s assertion during the President Clinton’s trial that oral sex is not sex.

Remember, Hillary was not found innocent. In fact the FBI says she is guilty. But they just aren’t going to prosecute her. Maybe they have better things to do this summer. Possibly its a busy vacation season or something. Or maybe its just bad for their jobs. But remember they said she was guilty and that others would be punished for the same thing. But she will not be punished because nobody has the will to do it.
Trump should tell Comey in a speech that he can resign and forfeit his pension now to avoid prosecution after Trump wins the election.
If Comey is still the FBI director next February he should be frog walked.
The basic rule of political law is this — conservatives are pre-guilty and liberals are pre-innocent.
The only way of changing this is to educate, train and appoint more impartial judges. A complete reversal of the situation would of course be no improvement, just a reversal of the current injustice.
If the law enforcement profession can’t do the business, then the American voters will have to take their place. They can prevent this clearly incompetent candidate from reaching the office of president, if 70% of them vote the right way leading to a 51% plurality. Hurdles, obstacles ... it never ends, does it?
I often wonder and worry about our covert operators. If anything happens to them because of Hillary, will we ever even know? What about their informants? Ops that were disrupted?
It’s very disturbing to think that Hillary may have gotten more Americans and our allies killed.

No kidding, mate. Anyone with half a brain (that excludes fanatic Supporters of Mrs Bill Clinton of course) can see that this was a Political Maneuvre of the most brazen sort. People are outraged, and well they should be.
The outright cheek of saying that the determination is that she did not knowingly break all manner of laws when it is so blatantly obvious that she did indeed do so has Jewish mothers everywhere applauding the acting skills and denial capabilities displayed by an obvious master of the art.
