I don’t bother with the 4th of July.

That was for a country of laws, not men, that no longer exists.

Limited Government does not exist. We are a uniparty oligarchy.

And I’ll be attacked for giving up.

I’ll keep fighting, though about 30 years of doing so has been merely a rearguard action possibly slowing the decent only slightly.

It was just like any other day for me. Didn’t even hear any fireworks, though I understand someone got maimed.

I felt that way for awhile too, until it dawned on me that the Declaration of Independence is a document that justifies rebellion against the government, and that is what is being celebrated. It's not "Constitution Day" you know!

I felt same last night. Very disturbing as I am a student of the revolutionary war and the founding of the country. I think we stay positive through the election. Must remember that only 20% of colonists supported the revolutionary war. I have to believe we win big in Nov or position for exciting times.

We had an awesome 4th of July celebration here in Texas. Lasted two nights and even mother nature joined in with tons of lightning. Although I get the impression we were not celebrating for DC. Maybe DCs independence perhaps.
