Yes, like something out of a Heathkit catalogue or the building plans section of an old Popular Mechanics magazine.

I had a drop-front desk when I was a kid. It ended up being filled with small tools and various supplies from my hobbies. Tins of airgun pellets, fishing line, woodburning tool - the usual. :-) I would've flipped out over something with a Jetsons-like flat video screen that popped up.

Well, it looks about the right size for the guitar work I do. I’m using an old jeweler’s desk foir that work right now. Lots of smamall drawers for parts. But I have an almost wall long bench with mounted buffers and grinders for the serious work that this nice bench could never handle.
