According to the police chief if you get 100 people together that are drinking someone is bound to be murdered.

WaPo being misleading. It was a private party, not cc event.

I'm sure it's aspiring rappers, some are turning their lives around, others are planning on enrolling in college someday.
But everyone involved is a good boy and dindu nuffinz.

... noted that he expects changes to the clubs rental policy.Learning experiences.
In these parts, people who rent space in this manner also have to pay for the services of an on-site local law enforcement officer. At one event we attended, hosted by Mexican friends, my husband took a plate of chicken and rice to the police officer, who was quite friendly.

“Family oriented” at 2AM. In my family, the only event going on at 2AM is everyone tucked into their beds fast asleep.

From the WaPo article
You had close to 100 people here, he said. You had alcohol involved, which is always a recipe for disaster when you have that many people and alcohol involved. My best friend just got married in March. The couple in their 50's, first marriage for both. Joyful event. About 250 people at the reception. It was an Italian wedding, if you've been to one, you know what I mean. Open bar, tons of food, lots of dancing.
Fatalities - 0. (Okay, maybe a bit of indigestion, from over indulging, but that was it!)
Oh, and the reception was from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, not in the AM - maybe that's it.
