Of course, when New Horizons was launched, Pluto was a FULL Planet.

In addition to the extension of the New Horizons mission, NASA determined that the Dawn spacecraft should remain at the dwarf planet Ceres, rather than changing course to the main belt asteroid Adeona.

Scientists and engineers have done a lot of patches to keep Dawn productive after multiple equipment failures.
Wonder what lie they will make up around this probe ... almost everything NASA does in space is one layer of some lie or another: from images made with obsolete cameras based on yesterday’s tech to compressed and degraded public images ... nothing they say or do is what it seems ... there is always another layer which gets revealed quietly years or decades later.
