Should America eject the communist country known as Hawaii? How about HaBye!
PGA Weblog

Posted on 07/02/2016 8:31:07 AM PDT by ProgressingAmerica

In all the chatter about Brexit, Texit, Texodus, and others, why are we surrendering America to the left? For those of you who have watched D'Souza's 2012 documentary 2016: Obama's America, you know what I'm talking about.

Their universities are practically soviet satellites. It's a communist country. The culture of Hawaii is utter filth, in the context of a free country like America. I never knew about it until D'Souza spent some time on it. Ask yourself this question: Why did Frank Marshall Davis re-locate to Hawaii? Think: Fellow Travelers.

Why are we letting Hawaiian Reds hold America down?

Oh, and about the quandry of 50 state stars? Let's make Jefferson a state.

How about this, instead of us giving up the ship, let's eject the statists and let them have their utopia out in the middle of the Pacific.

Surrendering all 49 seems utterly stupid when ejecting just one would fix so many problems. Just think about it.

Those states already elect two liberal DemocRat senators mainly on the vote from the major cities in those states. The rural parts of the state tend to be more conservative and I think they would be more likely to elect two conservative senators.

I think the answer may be simpler than that. We only need to reverse the outcome of one outrageous and, today, outrageously titled Supreme Court opinion.

When Warren Burger was retiring as Chief Justice, he claimed to be most proud of the One Man, One Vote decision that said state legislatures could not have one house apportioned by geography, like the US Senate, but all must be apportioned by population, like the House of Representatives. This gave the liberal and heavily populated cities control in every state with large urban areas.

Reversing that won’t help Hawaii, who should be let go. They will enjoy their new Chinese owners. But it will help a lot of other states, though.

yes, this jogs my memory.

I recall that before that decision, some states, don’t remember which ones, had state senates in which each county within the state had the same number of senators, regardless of population.

As a matter of law, the court decision on one man/one vote seems improper, in that, many states set up their legislatures in the same manner as the federal government, with one house based on population, and the other house of the legislature based on geographic areas.

So the court in effect ruled, that a state could not set up their legislature in an identical manner in which the federal legislature is set up.

Then again, I know that some liberals feel the U.S. Senate is unfair, because each state has the same number of senators. They think California should have 30 times more senators than North Dakota based on population differences, yadda, yadda, yadda.

Send them all the new arrivals. The islanders will welcome them with open arms, thinking that they are just misunderstood, poor, downtrodden, oppressed, innocent, kind people like the Jones down the street.

I’m sure Hawaii would be pleased to regain its independence, seeing how it was involuntarily annexed in the first place.

Can we do a divorce, and split America into the liberal/socialist/Obamacare paradise that liberals dream about, and the remainder being a more conservative country???

Sounds nice

I don’t know about Hawaii, but you have a good point about the general exit mechanism. Why should only the entities who want to leave determine who exits? Why should Texas have to leave the U.S.? How about if the U.S. casts off some of the anti-Constitutional states so that Texas won’t be “offended” by their statehood?

This is, after all, a bash-Hawaii thread, and so I was assuming the emphasis was on idiots
and socialists in Hawaii. Isn't that a fair assumption? In another context, such as one
dealing generally with places idiots and socialists settle, I would have gotten what you
meant. But true, I have a bit of hair trigger with these bash-Hawaii posts that mystify me.

Let me give one a try: Real Conservatives, being intellectuals, seek out frigid dingy metropolises.

With inner cities packed with gibmedats..........

Emotionally, I would love nothing more than to see the liberals in Hawaii and Californica stew in their own juice. But what has bothered me for years is the thought that this was Obama’s strategic objective all along. Maybe this is what Obama meant when the open microphone caught Obama telling Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, “After the election I have more flexibility”. Flexibility for what was never answered. Maybe this was the communist plan all along:

The U.S. should have expelled every state that legalized abortion before Roe v. Wade. After Roe v. Wade, every state should have seceded.

I see that you don’t reply to any of the comment posts. Just post your screed and walk away.
FYI an overwhelming majority of Native Hawaiians voted for Statehood. There are lots of vocal anti everything people everywhere you go. Not to say there is not a lot of racism there - there is. But most people there are American to the core. And it’s Ok to have a culture.

"Why should Texas have to leave the U.S.? How about if the U.S. casts off some of the anti-Constitutional states so that Texas won’t be "offended" by their statehood?"

We have a winner.

We would really only need to cast off one or two. Especially if we broke off Jefferson into its own state.

All I'm thinking is that instead of breaking off one and losing 49, let's keep 49 and lose one. The exact opposite situation.

"Independence? Then Russia and China will move in."

Texit ends up with the same result, but I think much, much worse. Without Texas' electoral votes, give it 2-4 progressive presidencies in a row and America will be finished. Even now with Texas we're in a real bind and there is some argument to be made now that the fat lady is already singing.

With Texit, all of the remaining 49 states are being given up, leaving Texas by itself. To Russia and China go the 49. It will take more than two minutes, but all 49 are lost. How long until China gets Nevada and the plains states? The progressives could break this place down real quick with a no-questions-asked one party state.

If we broke off Hawaii by itself, all you lose is Hawaii while keeping the other 49.
