Attorney General Loretta Lynch described her Monday meeting with Bill Clinton aboard a private plane as primarily social, but even Democrats are struggling to stomach the optics of the attorney generals meeting with the former president while his wife is under federal investigation.
Lynch said she and Clinton talked only of grandchildren, golf, and their respective travels, but the fact that the two spoke privately at all was enough to rekindle concerns about a possible conflict of interest. Republicans have long called into question the ability of a Democratic-led Department of Justice to conduct an independent investigation into Hillary Clintons use of a private email server, based inside her Chappaqua, New York, home, during her tenure as secretary of state.
Once news of their meeting on the tarmac at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport broke, Democrats made clear that while the meeting was likely as innocent as Lynch described, it did not give the Justice Department the appearance of independence.

What was the quid pro quo?
Someone offered someone something.
Bill has been married to Hill for years. Bill is getting on, and only has a relatively small number of years left on earth.
I say he was begging Loretta to indict.
Every elected Republican should be calling for her recusal, if not her resignation. I think Bill wants her out of the way and an independent counsel appointed to drag this thing past the election.
in your face, and not a damn thing anyone can do about it
Their meeting was held in private.
they talked about her grandchildren.
I picture something like, “Nice grandchildren you have there. Would be a shame if something were to happen to them.”
She probably asked why it was all misshapen, swollen and leaking a malodorous substance.
As Monica Crowley said on Fox this morning, this was not some casual encounter.
It was their two private planes on the runway, and layers of security to go through.
“Negotiating her nomination to the Supreme Court?”
Oops pasted wrong quote.
Whose private plane was Bill Clinton on?
He does not own one.
Even the Mob is not this blatant.
I wish. There are no errors when the media covers your back.
The FIX is in...
They actually think the public is that stupid......like conniver Clinton couldn’t just pick up the phone to tell her about his grandchildren.
You know I’ve always believed Bill wouldn’t be all that upset if Hillary isn’t elected president. She would eclipse him in history simply because she would be the first woman president in our history. For someone who treats women like sex objects and garbage do you seriously think Bill would want his place in history eclipsed by a WOMAN? A woman who only got to where she is today because of HIM. No way will Bubba let this happen. I don’t think he cares two cents about Hillary. His legacy is far more important to him.
“This is a nice military base you have here Colonel, we wouldn’t want anything to happen to it”
Dino & Luigi Vercotti.
Clean bill. Nobody can prove anything. DEM’s groan only because adding one more issue to the repertoire is a chore. IOW, they aren’t groaning because Clinton and Lynch did anything wrong, they are groaning because now they have to rebut yet another baseless Republican attack.

The purpose of the Democrat Party is to elect thieves to office so that they have access to the public treasuries in order to loot them.
The Press and Democrat voters are just accomplices.

As is the GOP.
I find it amazing how many FReepers believe that there is STILL a political solution to what ails our nation.
Even an ex-President needs to get clearance from lots of folks.
It's not like he can pass a lie detector test.
