Ah! When you have a private jet and lots of money to golf anywhere in the country, the first place that would leap to mind would be Phoenix, AZ which has been in the news lately for its blazing heat wave. Yesterday over 100 degrees which is when Bill Clinton claimed to have golfed before meeting up with AG Loretta Lynch at the airport tarmac.

Okay, so my question is WHAT is the name of the golf course that Clinton played Heat Wave golf at? He must love that sweltering heat!

If you find the answer, please post here.

I worked at a country club for 10 years and it gets HOT here. lol Everyone played early in the morning and late in the afternoon. Only a few brave souls were on the course during the day.

Steve Doosey mentioned that she actually had their chat on board his plane not hers.

Whatever the conversation, she made herself susceptible to all sort of illegal maneuvers

My husband played golf in Ras Tanura, Saudi Arabia. He HAD to get on the course at 5:30 A.M. because by 9:00 A.M. it was 105 degrees and my mid afternoon it was up to 117 degrees. It was on the coast so the humidity was 95%.
I gave it a try but decided that NO GOLF GAME was worth that heat.

There was no grass. The course was sand mixed with petroleum. Each golfer had a square foot of artificial turf and placed the golf ball on top to hit for each and every shot.
The "putting green" was a darker sand with MORE petroleum. Each putt caused a big path mark in the sand.

At every hole a Pakistani (who was in charge of three holes) would use a HUGE broom and pull it around the "putting green" to smooth out the dirt.

There were only nine holes and one could play the course twice.

The driving range was free. My husband always had a six handicap anyway, a NATURAL, and over there he got down to scratch. The golf club had awards dinners every quarter and the prizes were Waterford crystal. I DID go to those dinners and collected SO much crystal. I remember those lovely RED boxes of crystal.

Phoenix is a BLAST furnace. Phoenix USED to have an extremely low humidity. But, with all the irrigation that is used in their farming...Arizona isn't the same dry climate anymore, well, not like it was way back when.
My grandmother was a "packer" for the rich old ladies who used to visit Arizona in the winter...WAY back in the early 1900's. We had a couple of old pillowcases still from the erstwhile "Arizona Biltmore Hotel." The Wrigley family bought it out, I think, in the '30s.

My husband and I lived in Ras Tanura, Saudi Arabia, for five years, working for the Arabian American Oil Company, ARAMCO. Now it's Saudi ARAMCO. Talk about a BLAST FURNACE.

Those folks were brave it they were young. If they were old timers then they were STUPID FOOLISH. It is dangerous to be out in that heat: hyperthermia, heat exhaustion, heatstroke, heat cramps, sunburn, heat rash.

I'm sure that your club had to occasionally take care of overzealous golfers during the summers.
