Despite the odds that the bookmakers were giving a few days ago (three to one against), Britain has surprised the world — and especially the world financial markets — by voting to leave the European Union.
That’s according to the latest projections, including the BBC’s. However, it’s still theoretically possible that the remaining constituencies will tip the vote back to “Remain”. Not likely, but possible. So keep the cork in the bubbly for just a little while longer…
I was convinced that a majority of Britons would vote for Leave, but that postal vote fraud and other shenanigans would make sure that the referendum would deliver the results required by Frau Merkel and Messrs. Cameron and Juncker. So that means that there must have been a VERY large margin of victory for Leave, given the amount of likely fraud.
It reminds me of the Nicaraguan election of 1990. Do you remember when the Sandinistas agreed to hold an election that ended up voting them out of office?
They were certain they would win. The opinion polls said they would win. Jimmy Carter — who thought the Sandinistas were jes’ fine — was sure they would win. That’s why he talked them into holding the election: it was a way to shut those nasty conservatives up for good, and give the communist dictatorship the imprimatur of electoral legitimacy.
But it didn’t work out that way. Nicaraguans went to the polls and voted the commie rascals out. There was only one explanation: Those voters must have — gasp! — lied to the pollsters.
Now why would any comrade in a socialist paradise feel the need to do that?

I just looked at the current odds that the British bookies are laying on the U.S. presidential election. They have Cankles at 3 to 10 (heavy favorite) and Trump at 10 to 3. These are the same experts who got BREXIT wrong. If I were betting I would put a modest amount of money of Trump and get a 300% return.
Because, unlike the Trump people, the Cankles people are just brimming with enthusiasm. You can tell by the seas of Cankles bumper stickers on cars all over the US despite the incredible risk of having their cars vandazlized....oh wait

Yesterday, June 12, 2016 - a date which will fundamentally transform your country - the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by one radical terrorist pledged to ISIS.
The United States has tried to make peace with that Islamic state and, at the solicitation of ISIS, was still sending weapons and money to ISIS and its leader looking toward the maintenance of peace in the Levant.

The attack yesterday on Orlando has caused severe damage to gay and Latino night life. Very many American lives have been lost. In addition, American bars have been reported doing slower business in many gay night spots.
Further, the ISIS leadership also launched a stabbing attack against a French police officer and his companion.
In May, ISIS launched four car bombings in Baghdad.
In March, ISIS leadership launched suicide bomb attacks against a Belgian airport and metro station.
In December, ISIS leadership launched attacks against a Christmas party in San Bernardino.
ISIS has, therefore, undertaken a surprise offensive extending throughout the West. The facts of this year speak for themselves. The people of the United States have already formed their opinions and well understand the implications to the very life and safety of our nation.
As commander in chief of the Army and Navy, I have directed that all measures be taken to celebrate Ramadan Iftar and honor Islam.
Always will we remember the character of the Religion of Peace.
No matter how long it may take us to overcome the potential anti-Muslim backlash, the American people in their righteous collective white guilt will submit to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
