Why should any movie be "remade"?

It seems that Hollywood does not have the imagination to determine which current books would be great movies. Add to that, writing is at times just plain awful in current TV and movies.

The ones that should never be remade are the ones that were near-perfection to begin with. The Time Machine is an example of that. So is GhostBusters.

I’d suggest that the writing and production values of POI are excellent. NCIS, Bones, Elementary, and The Closer - pretty good.

The 40's were probably the best years in Hollywood

Stars were really greater than life stars and movies told stories

One of the reasons I like "Blue Bloods" so much on TV is because they are running, very well, with a family line of cops and story lines that are contemporary, interesting and well acted

I foresee the character "Danny" spinning off sometime in the future ... kind'a like what Dennis Franz did after "Hill Street Blues"
