That photo always makes my skin crawl.
LOL! :)
5 times before ? What say time to put her in Shady Pines where she can be watched.
“She has done this five times before.”
Time for lockdown for Granny. She’s wasting way too many local resources.
I know. I’m mean this way. I care for my nutty Dad, who is nearing this state...it’s no fun for anyone.
She is not living in the appropriate place based on her cognitive conditions. Besides that, it’s probably costing the county a lot of manhours to keep looking for someone who may not wish to be found.
Not rely sure making fun of old women with dementia is in the best taste.
After the first time why not stick a gps tracker on her?
Seriously? She’d certainly forget it was even there.
Where’s that guy’s hand, and why is it there?
It’s not mean. She could be in danger when she wanders. They have to make sure she is safe.
I saw an ad for a little $30 device that can help you find your purse, cellphone, keys, stolen bike, etc. via Bluetooth. I think it could be lifesaving for the at-home elderly who tend to wander:
(not affiliated, just think it’s pretty cool)

It’s a strange pic.
Of a strange woman.
She’s weird and so is that man. It’s just all-around creepy.
its time for the family to pony up and put her in a secure place...rescue teams don’t exist for her only....they serve all of us..
its not mean....my 89yro fil has had the firemen come 3 times at least to help him up when he has fallen in the last few months...would this delay their response to a major fire with people’s lives at stake?.
I’ll bet the costs for this rescue team could’ve paid for months of her residency at such a facility, perhaps more. The family should be liable to the taxpayers for the costs incurred here.
You put alarms and locks on the doors and if necessary, a tracker on the person. It isn’t complicated.
Send her family a bill for the search, and perhaps they’ll be more careful in the future. “has a history of wandering away from the caregiver”
