A naked dining experience is set to hit Tokyo next month, with its own clothing-free restaurant opening.
But unlike similar restaurant concepts that recently launched in London and Melbourne, Australia, The Amrita in Japan plans to weigh and take height measurements of diners at the door, and will bar those who are overweight from entering.

You get the feeling they only want good looking people in. Thin naked people are better to look than fat naked people
Yeah...that was one of my thoughts, too.
Japan honestly sounds like a sick place, at least from the stories about it the Western media chooses to write.
Not in Japan.
They are anything but PC.
I direct you to #11 from goodnesswins.
Not just fat people that are disgusting to see.
Never mind too close for comfort...sharing seats, as another poster pointed out?
It’s not all fun and games!
Depends. You assume all fat is the same and thin is the same. They’re not all the same!
Going to be disgusting, no matter what!
Why, because women aren’t sex-obsessed?
EWWWWWWWW. YUCK!
I don’t even sit on MY OWN furniture naked!
Doh!
I wonder if these folks got the idea from the British. This was posted here a couple days ago: London's first naked restaurant opens..?.
No, because I used to live in Hollywood and The San Fransisco Bay area.
Trust me, they aren't looking for a straight female clientele, quite the opposite.
Perhaps japan is different?
Click here for a nude Arnold Schwarzenegger. Or how an immigrant who barely [pun intended] speaks English makes a lot of money modeling for guys...
Luckily there aren’t many bodybuilders in Japan. Most US bodybuilders, particularly in the Heavyweight class, would be considered morbidly obese even in competition condition going by BMI, even though their bodyfat percentage is in the low single-digits.

People can tell the difference between the obese and the bodybuilders. If obese people have some sort of satisfaction that bodybuilders are also “obese” through some measurement, I’d say good for them. And have more cake.
Why not just install a narrow door?
My comment was in reference to the restaurant’s standard that they base entrance on height and weight, and those who are more than 15KG more than “average weight” won’t be admitted and won’t get their reservation deposit back.
Also banned ,people with Tattoos and dirty feet
A narrow door would filter out the pneumatic females.
Can’t have that?
OK by me!
It’s hard to imagine Japanese going naked anywhere except for bath houses, really.
I guess you just can’t make this stuff up! Do they let regular-weighted folks who have tattoos in? :)
I’d doubt it. Interesting article, nonetheless.
