My life is a lot quieter, since the divorce.

My understanding is that there are a lot of questions about how the confession was obtained.

The entire case against her has been constructed by people who know nothing about kayaking.

48 Hours did a special on this case, and the drain plug and the paddles had nothing to do with his death.

The drain plug is on the TOP of the kayak.

Removing the latch that holds the two pieces paddle together would not have caused him to drown.

The four-foot waves they were paddling in were the problem, and the fact that the water was ice cold.

No I wont do anything to kill you. But I will gently nudge your paddle just out of reach while you struggle and drown in front of me.

If she was stupid enough to allow hours of questions, an innocent person could easily have made dumb statements out of confusion. If she felt guilty for failing to save him, due to her own cold or exhaustion, an innocent person could have said truthfully that she tried to push the paddle toward him but accidentally nudged it in the wrong direction.

As for the drain plug, that's total nonsense. A small hole in the top of the kayak is just about irrelevant. Also, removing the drain plug and failing to replace it does not show malicious intent. I don't want to list all the times my wife has removed something mechanical and then days later asked me to put it back where it goes. Or forgotten to ask.

Very cute and perhaps not guilty. Or she could be guilty. Police interviews should be on videotape, and I'd want to see the statements on video and in context, not isolated paraphrases or three-second sound bites.
