That got me thinking, I was watching Shaq last night on the NBA post-game show, and he’s gotten really big. I don’t know if his heart is going to hold out much longer if he doesn’t lose some weight.

Heart failure is common among those who bulk up too much, with or without steroids.

The cardiovascular system can only support so much and muscle requires far more resources than fat tissue.

That said, the accumulated toll of past injuries may have played a role.
