Liberalism: A Mental Disease....
Having met and interacted with Nation of Islam members I can tell you that they do hate whites. A lot.
To me, he will always be a draft dodging coward.
I’m sick of the coverage being given to him.
“”It ain’t sad be cause I want my child to look like me??!
I’m sad because I want to blot out my race and lose my identity?””
Ali in response to the interviewer insisting it is sad that he (Ali) doesn’t want to destroy his heritage...
Ali understood something that all the utopains put together never will.
Ali was reprehensible in many ways, all the way around.
His redeeming qualities were fewer.
Isn’t it interesting that a few weeks ago JOHN WAYNE was branded a “racist” because of his PLAYBOY interview.
Anyone remember the hate filled rant when PLAYBOY interviewed Muhammed Ali?
FU Cassius Clay.
Ali was a draft dodger and member of a “religion” that wants to cut my head off. Mourn him? No thanks.
He was an America-hating, White-hating, draft - dodging Black Muslim
Period
Many of us have reached the point of nausea with all the coverage of ‘the great one’s’ death. He’s being made a hero when he himself said he earned his money by beating people up.
Another muslim.
Its well known that when he joined the Nation of Islam, he held racist views against white people, however, he came to rescind these views later after Elijah Muhammad died. He stated in his autobiography that one of his biggest regrets was turning his back on Malcolm X after he had abandoned the racist NOI and later came to the realisation that racial hate was wrong, no matter who the colour of the one being hated or doing the hating was. So we can either eternally despise him for what he was, or respect him for what he became.
I find it amusing when someone calls anyone from the south during the Jim Crow days a racist.
Black or white, if you were down there during the period of Ali’s youth you were a racist. Racism was not the same thing back then as it is today.
If someone were behaving today the way they did in the ‘40s and ‘50s, they would be stoned in the town square.
I understand plenty of reasons why Ali might have been a racist.
Why are we always surprised when people act appropriately for their culture?
Funny the attempts to rationalize Ali’s statements in the comments under the video - “well everybody was a racist back then” - yeah, that’s fine for Ali and his ilk, but try to get away with it for Jessie Helms or David Duke.....
Ali also said Islam didn’t allow him to commit the kind of violence the military required. That’s why he couldn’t join the army.
