Let me get this straight, the girl can fly the Millenium Falcon better than Han Solo the first time she gets behind the controls, can Ginsu a Darth the first time she fires up a lightsaber...and the black dude keeps insisting she needs rescuing.
They need to make this movie more of a lecture to the public of how they should behave and what they should think. People want to be scolded.
Disney execs want young Darth Vader played by a Donald Trump lookalike. Producers wanted a Hillary lookalike to play the evil Emperor, but the execs resisted, because Vader killed the emperor later on. Putting them both in would add interest in the film, if it’s as bad as it seems.
Far as I’m concerned there were only 2.5 Star Wars movies (stinking Ewoks).
I saw the trailer and it does look like a mess. The movie is a prequel about the rebels who steal the plans to the death star. The lead character is a James Dean Rebel without a Cause type girl who is anti social and fights everyone. In other words, if I drew up a list of people who I would pick to lead a super secret, critically important mission, she would be last. In fact she would be the expendable decoy.
What’s with the Mad Max look?
Love star wars, but not a dime from me for disney. They can market their films in india, where their new it staff that displaced American workers in America, is from.
Come to think of that, displacing workers, that sounds romneyesque.
IOW, it was probably so darn good that Disney felt the need to put their fingerprints on it to make it more “family-friendly.”
