As a boy my brain was a sponge, could memorize most anything, including Casey at the Bat.
Today with some effort I could still restore that old memory, but don’t ask me to memorize something new, such as Casey’s Revenge.

Indeed! As a child, I had memorized 4 Gilbert & Sullivan operettas by the time I was in sixth grade.

I can still remember most of it!

But don’t ask me to memorize a NEW one! LOL!
