VANITY: So What Will Venezuela Eat Once Dogs, Cats & Horses Are Gone?

Have anyone of us contemplated this dilemma? Here we have a nation, run by liberals and socialists. And this year we have seen how it all ended. Just like in Greece and Maybe Puerto Rico. No Money, and in the case of Venezuela, no food. By now they have probably wiped out most of their pets and farm animals. But they have to eat meat once in a while. What are they going to do? cross over in their neighboring nations and kidnap any animal walking the streets and take them back home for dinner?

This is the first vanity that I’ve seen in years that wasn’t total sh!t. The answer is what appened in Soviet Russia in the years between the glorious revolution and WWII. Millions will starve. Since the morons voted in the communist regime they deserve to starve. OR we could ship them Bernie supporters and feed them slogans (and the Bernie supporters).

I have been expecting those stories from Venezuela. I would imagine we will first have massive refugee outflows that will destabilize the surrounding countries.

There has been numerous occasions where people have turned to cannibalism during a collapse. Just google Stalingrad and Leningrad during WWII.

No way. That props up the socialist/communist government. The people have to become disgusted enough to hang their slave masters from electricity poles (and left as examples) and create something much more free. They were prosperous and can be again, just not under socialism.

Most will find a way to feed themselves without resorting to cannibalism or even worse. People are more resilient than many think. Those that can farm will find food all ready growing and continue on. Those that can hunt & fish will improvise and hunt. those that can practice animal husbandry will continue. Within a few years, they will be wealthy landowners.
The military will set up a strongman in power, the US wilt recognize him and pour aid and borrowed money into Venezuela and the nation will make a comeback.
In 10 or so years, the do gooders will decide the strongman is a despot and find a way to dispose of him and install a socialist government. For the people. Then with new statues of Chavez and Morales going up daily, the evil wealthy landowners will be brought to bay and their wealth and lands confiscated. The vicious cycle will then start over.
