Why don’t they barbeque the ape to help raise money for a new one. How much do you think people would pay for a barbeque ape sandwich? How much outrage would there be if they did so?
Perhaps a pledge drive for the body with two sides, the barbeque versus the burial. The largest total pledged amount wins the body.

What about the zoo. I say they are at fault. It should be able to keep the visitors and animals separated without their security measures being so easily defeated.

On the flip side, the way today's society is, I'm amazed that the parents haven't sued the zoo for not making it impossible for their kid to get into the enclosure.....
I agree. This reminds me of an article on FR last week about kids breaking pieces of art in a museum. If people are going to assume the liability risk of taking their kids places where they can break something or cause expensive losses, they should foot the bill. "You break it, you buy it".
