This little strip club is in the middle of nowhere in the Noeth woods between Harrison and Gladwin in Michigan. And I do mean the middle of nowhere where there’s not much job opportunity other than Dollar General.
I grew up in Southern Michigan and now live in West Texas. Worked in the O&G industry for 30 years.
A very apt West-TX-style description of the land between Gladwin and Harrison might be better stated as “BFE-Michigan”.
While, knowing that the area is home to one of the more expansive NatGas storage fields in all of North America.
It says the population is 2,000
Looks like it’s mostly campgrounds with a couple of local stores in the town and a couple of restaurants, not much more from what I can see.
Looks like the whole of the county is pretty rural, bait shops, canoe rental, and camping.
I have a cabin in a similar sort of place, and there is not much hope for local kids, they have to move out and move on.
