The manufacturers will just have to build better guns to keep the market interested. I think suppressors have the potential to become huge if Trump is elected. The hearing protection act will be passed and they will be stripped out of the NFA and you’ll be able to buy them at Wal Mart just like they were any other firearm. The market will be absolutely enormous.
Except in Kalifornia!
Gun grabbers always point to Europe as the gold standard for gun control, but somehow neglect to point out that suppressors are available over the counter in many of those countries, where it is considered bad form to make loud noises that might annoy neighbors.
As for the market for suppressors, you are correct. Here in Washington, where suppressors were legal to own, but not use, with no police exemption, the law was recently changed and now the market has skyrocketed. The worst aspect of owning a suppressor is the odious NFA, and the ridiculous wait times to receive your tax stamp from ATF, especially since you pay for your suppressor up front, and your $200 check to ATF, which they cash in less than 2 weeks, and then the interminable wait begins. I waited 10 months for my first stamp, although the 2nd took about 5 months. I’m still waiting for a third that was purchased 3 weeks after the 2nd.
