A number of conservative groups started an anti-Target protest in the wake of the chain’s April 19 statement that transgender customers in its North Carolina stores could use restrooms and fitting rooms of the gender they identify with.

“We observed a noticeable fall off in traffic at Target during the last week in April and a meaningful pickup at Walmart during that same time,” said Richard Chmiel, chief executive of RS Metrics, which uses satellites to monitor thousands of retail parking lots across the country in order to identify changing business trends.

“We suspect the bathroom boycott which was gaining momentum at that time contributed to the shift,” Chmiel said.

Its astonishing that the stubborn leftists running Target choose to trash the shareholders.

I wonder when the shareholder suits will begin.

I wonder if they're also noticing empty parking lots in front of all the stores going out of business since Obama took over. But that's a different matter. Boycott Target and other stupidly run businesses of liberal idiots, while buying at conservative owned businesses.

Target is standing there with it’s pants around it’s ankles. It is now obvious that not only do they have a BIB, they also have a BIF.

Why are we not publicly demonstrating at Target? Are we just lazy? Why are motorcycle alpha not gathering in the parking lots for Bar B Que? Why are we putting up with this?

Keep pizzin’ off half or more of your customer base you geniuses at Target. You would think that JC Penney’s and Macy’s would provide a clue to these LIEberal jerks. Then again LIEberals are mostly financial morons.

For a paper I wrote while getting my MBA I interviewed several Target shoppers. I live in a university town full of stuck-up liberals and most of the shoppers were expensively dressed and drove newish cars and SUV’s. Most said something like they would die before shopping at Walmart.

From the data I got for my paper, the average income of a Target shopper was $75k while for Walmart shoppers it was $25k. I doubt that the bathroom policy would have swayed any of the shoppers I interviewed. For the most part their minds were so open that I’m surprised their brains didn’t fall out.

There are plenty of Wal-Mart bashers on this very forum.
It’s not necessarily a liberal thing, more classist, I guess.

“There are plenty of Wal-Mart bashers on this very forum.”

I wrote most of my papers on Walmart. It drove my classmates and professors batty. Walmart publishes all its data. If I recall, at the time the average worker was hired at age 40 and it was his or her first real job. They learned valuable work skills. Their average tenure was just 18 months, at which time they apparently moved on to better jobs. I concluded that Walmart had replaced the small business as the training ground for new workers. They are the largest single employer in 15 states. (Think about that for a minute. Amazing.) They are the fifteenth largest economy on the planet, at the time just behind Saudi Arabia.

Wow. That’s a shocking stat. This isn’t the job market I grew up in...

There are Targets in cities like Columbus Georgia, where the people who had gone there still have an eeeewwwwww! factor to contend with.
