I’m not aware of any constitutional mechanism that allows a state legislature to unseat an elected U.S. Senator.
I was thinking because the people of Texas voted for him, he would be responsible of the people of Texas...

Cruz had better rehabilitate himself to get re-elected and this narrowing of the voters business is not the finest way to start, given he can’t win in the open field and has to pull stuff to succeed.
I am furious with Cruz. I saw Dewhurst at the State Convention. He is not hiding under a rock.
