What good does it do to nominate a party extremist if they can't garner enough votes to win a general election?

None whatsoever. That doesn't give the right to non members to pick the standard bearer. If Republicans choose poorly, that's life in the fast lane.

I wanted Cruz to win the nomination. I think a debate between Cruz and clinton would have been the best entertainment of the decade.

This fall I want Trump to win. I do like the fact that he pushes back in a way that we have been pleading for Republicans to do for, what, nearly three decades?

Around 20 states have chosen open primaries and that is their choice and their right. It saves a great deal of paperwork since multi millions are not forced to change their registrations ahead of a vote.

I’ve read that After being cheated very badly in the past two election cycles, thousands of Colorado republicans dumped their R cards for I cards. Lots of people are fed up with the party and I have no problem with including them in the choice. Without their vote in November, we lose.

Republicans are outnumbered in many key states. We need the Independent vote to win elections. <—reality check.

I’d take an open primary over a crooked caucus. Caucuses are absurd archaic opportunities to cheat. They exclude a great deal of voters and place the decision in the hands of a few party operatives.
