A picture is worth a thousand words... pure USSR
Going to see Bob in July... I’ll shout out the request
lmao......... the expression on the dude in the back..... HAAAAAAA!!
Maybe good, maybe bad.
I bought a Belarus tractor 20-some years ago for $500.00, intending it to be my throw-away for all the crap I wouldn't put my brand-new Kubota through.
It's still running, my Kubota has been in and out of the shop.
I have a total investment of approximately $850.00 on the Belarus...the Kubota has cost me over $5000.00 just to keep it running these many years.
And I abuse the absolute hell out of the Belarus, cutting rocks and stumps, lugging the engine down to near stall (but it will not) and only changing the oil twice in the time I've had it.
It is an ugly, crude, out-dated ungainly piece of poorly engineered example of Russian excellence...so bad that it will just not die.
I'm almost beginning to like it...at which point it will be better maintained, better treated...and will promptly quit on me.
Back in the 70’s one of the local guys got set up as a Belarus dealer, sold a few too.I still see some of them around working.I collect old 2 cylinder John Deeres as one of my hobbies.I doubt the Russkies ever made anything as tough as a 730 diesel.
That cannot be good no matter what country you’re in.
The Russian people are pretty much like us. Watching the videos that they post to youtube and liveleak makes it hard not to like them.
Would that be the "Poppin' John"?
My uncle had one way back when...run a very successful little truck farm with it for nearly 50 years.
He inherited it from his father, in 1939.
It's sitting on blocks in the workshop of his brother's son, hasn't run since '94, but it was parked running.
He says he's had offers of up to $10,000.00 for it.
I don't think there's enough money for him to let it go...he worked with my uncle for quite a few years on it, too.
Yep,the old 2-lungers.I have one of the 830 diesels,476 cubic inches in 2 cylinders. The thing only makes about 75 horsepower on paper but the torque is unreal.
How do,you say Oh Sh&t in Russian
“Oh, shitski”.
For this situation the Russian word you are looking for is “blet”. BOL.
Maybe not, if he shouts out, “Is capitalist plot by Moose and Squirell!”
As much as I know someone IS going to die for this embarrassment, I can’t stop laughing at this picture-perfect demonstration of Russian quality control.
