The dems might be in a lose-lose situation. A lot of those Sanders aren't idealogical. They are voting to clean the garbage out of DC. A percentage of them will vote for Trump or stay home if they're force fed an establishment lapdog.

Bernie’s supporters are solid! They won’t leave him! Hence if it’s Hillary as the D nom, a good amout of Bernie Dems will either stay home or vote for Trump.
