WATCH BEFORE YOU REACT

Yes it's Elizabeth Warren. Ignore what you know about her now. This is the pre-politics version of Warren, making the economic case that has led to the rise of Donald Trump. You will be shocked at how conservative the implications of this presentation are.

It's not just exquisite irony, it's also very informative as to why and how the middle class has been crushed economically. This dates to 2007 so all the trends noted are now another decade further along.

Start 5 minutes in because the intro is boring and not relevant. This is 45 minutes of video that will be very worth your time.

Indeed. This is a Jekyl-Hyde cognitive dissonance moment. Thus Elizabeth is compelling, sympathetic, common-sensical and bears no resemblance to to two-faced, corrupt moron we now know. Somebody explain this!?!!

I have heard a few (not many) Dems that can identify problems and their causes spot on. Then they start talking about their “solutions” and then I think they are nuts

I’ve heard this speech. She actually makes some very conservative points about debt, family creation, etc.

Thank you. Mothers poured into the work force. Many books written about this. Berkeley videos are excellent.

Problem: broken families, few stay at home moms, stagnant wages for men and low marriage rates.
Solution: Lower taxes and regulations. Simple in theory, impossible in practice. Selfish politicians do not care about broken families.

Warren is right on a lot of facts surrounding the corrupt state of affairs that is destroying Americans and the middle class in particlar. She, Sanders and Chomsky line up pretty close on getting that part right, BUT they fail in the solution; bigger big govt, more regulations, higher taxes and socialism is worse.

We need to go after the corrupt cronyism that exists because our politician are bought and paid for. End the corruption in the system so there can be a true free market economy, not socialism which has already done much damage to this country.

Feminism. When you effectively double the labor pool without doubling the number of available jobs, you will necessarily increase the pressure on wages downward. Eventually wages stagnate while the number of employees increases, improving productivity. Win win for companies.

Now if there was only a way to further increase wage pressure, maybe by introducing folks overseas, satisfied to make only 5% of the prevailing US wage to the employment rolls. If only we could employ children and befoul the environment without violating EPA regulations.
