Good, it deserves it. It looks awful and ruins the Ghostbuster franchise.

Bill Murry carried that movie (as usual). Her role coulda been played by many others and it wouldn’t have missed a beat.

The trailer is so absolutely terrible you’d think they wanted the film to fail.

I heard this also happened in the CBS series Elementary, which is a Sherlock Holmes inspired series. In that series, Dr. Watson is a woman. CBS's took the Sherlock Holmes story and placed it in modern day NYC, as opposed to Victorian London. It's the same quirky Holmes. But Dr. Watson is now a woman, Lucy Liu. I was skeptical at first, but it absolutely works for me.
Disclaimer: I always thought Lucy Liu was kinda hot, so I guess that affects my review here.

Rick Moranis is the only one with enough sense not to make a cameo in the movie

I laughed when I heard that they were planning to remake a politically correct Ghostbusters. First of all, it's a pretty weak franchise to begin with, and one that succeeded only because of the strength of the Three Stooges ensemble who carried it, and secondly, because it was a weird, novel idea at the time.
Now, it's just stupid, and three skanky bimbos are NOT -- repeat NOT -- going to have the clownish chemistry of Akroyd, Murray, and Ramis.
Yet some doofus managed to convince the Hollywood idiots that this anchor could fly, and was worth sinking millions of dollars into.
It's not even a bomb; it's a PRE-bomb!

True, but at least it showed she can deliver a professional performance in a straight supporting role.

If these guys wanted to do their little reboot, then they could have at least gotten a better cast.
Jason Bateman
Dave Chappelle
Zach Galifianakis
Sarah Silverman
Melissa McCarthy
All the comedy bases covered from the straight man, black guy, the weird guy, the “manish” female, and the lovable female underdog.
At least the dynamic would lead to some genuinely funny moments, and would not have alienated 101% of the audience.

Columbia admits to a $154 million budget. I’m going to presume that doesn’t include promotion as summer gets closer.
Sony is going to take another massive write off.

Melissa McCarthy looks like this now:
"Mike & Molly" has been cancelled, in part because she no longer fits the profile of the character she was hired to portray.

The trailer looks like the original’s out-takes wearing dresses.

She was actually very funny in Bridesmaids, one of my guilty pleasures. But as the star shes terrible. I tried watching the cop buddy movie she made with Sandra Bullock but turned it off halfway
The Heat is actually one of my guilty pleasures, as much as I am loathe to admit it. I thought she was funny in that and in Bridesmaids.

They have change the race from white to black as well. Example Annie.
I heard that is happening with Uncle Buck, except it is going to be a TV series.

Everytime they do something like this, the movie is a monstrous failure.
I haven’t heard about Uncle Buck. It will fail too.
Annie
Steel Magnolias
The Wiz (Wizard of Oz)
The Honeymooners
