enjoy their Lesbian
To be honest. . . this doesn’t even look to be worth the cheap Second-run movie theaters.
I expect the DVD to be prominent in the $5 DVD bin at your local Wally World by next summer. . . .
“Man-busters”
Just let it go. It’s like a joke punch line being repeated.
What’s with remaking stories and making key characters women?
I heard this also happened in the CBS series “Elementary”, which is a Sherlock Holmes inspired series. In that series, Dr. Watson is a woman.
I have not seen that show, however, it just makes me wonder, why the need to take established storylines, and put a woman in what was a man’s role? Is it because of women’s lib, or exactly why the need to do this?
never thought Melissa McCarthy was all that funny to begin with. Have any of her movies been funny? IMO the only reason she’s had any success at all is due to Billy Gardell.
Maybe there’s a lesson here?
Maybe Hollywood doesn’t need to remake or reboot yet another popular movie or TV show from yesteryear?? It doesn’t always work when they try to update or modernize or whatever they call this action???
I’m happy that I downvoted this abortion on the first day the trailer came out. What studio exec greenlighted this POS? Seriously?
She was actually very funny in Bridesmaids, one of my guilty pleasures. But as the star she’s terrible. I tried watching the cop buddy movie she made with Sandra Bullock but turned it off halfway.
This is weird in that several of my friends brought up this movie even though we seldom if ever talk about movies. (I don’t even have a television.) They were really negative about the movie. Apparently they all like the original and were hoping for a sequel. But this isn’t the sequel they wanted. My takeaway was that by going PC the producers annoyed their audience.
I’m not a big fan of crude Frat Boy humor.
And I like it even less when women perform it.
Her fat obnoxious girl shtick gets old REAL fast. She was good in St. Vincent but she wasn’t playing her meal ticket character:
If it was an excuse to cast Lucy Liu (and I suspect it was) then it was a good decision.
It’s not a great show but it is entertaining. And I never get tired of watching her.
Was it the writers intention for the black woman to be a walking talking stereotype?
Because the Hollywood types think that it is their jobs to drive social norms in spite of commons sense or originality.
“I tried watching the cop buddy movie she made with Sandra Bullock...”
Same here, The vulgar language was ridiculous, like they wet out of their way to make it that way. Could have made the same movie without it.......of course it still woulda sucked.
Ewwwww!
“Whats with remaking stories and making key characters women?”
They have change the race from white to black as well. Example “Annie.”
