The United States Military Academy at West Point said Wednesday that an investigation is underway regarding a photograph that shows 16 black cadets in uniform posing with their fists in the air.
We can confirm that the cadets in this photo are members of the U.S. Military Academys Class of 2016, West Points director of public affairs, Lt. Col. Christopher Kasker, told Army Times on Wednesday. Academy officials are conducting an inquiry into the matter.

In today’s world every place is what you make it.
My son graduated w/honors in 2014 with a real degree. All the cadets I met, and I met & hosted a ton, where great young people. Proud to have met 99% of them.
My youngest son is now in the Corp of Cadets at VA Tech. Again, it is what you make it.
Both places are excellent, in different ways - but still far superior to a party school.
And both places are trying to train morale, ethical leaders....for the most part.
Wow! Great stories. I sought West Point admission after joining as an enlisted man first, but a messed up medical check kept me out (papers got lost). I ended up going through OCS, however the PC stories you are revealing make me think providence was at work.
Anyone willing to don a uniform to fight the bad guys for their country are to be commended. But here is my question for you. Did you engage these young soldiers on theirs views on the the rule of law, homosexuality, transgenderism, and the constitution? Would they stand against a rogue President and administration bent on destroying the nation and the constitution? Do they believe in the 1st-4th Amendments of the constitution, etc...
Hate to say the obvious
BUT
If a picture were to surface with a group of Cadets from Mississippi holding a STATE FLAG and pointing to the Confederate Portion of it, the headline would not quite read “We are looking into it”.
Of course these blacks may have done this as a ‘gag’ (say a ‘we made it’) but their privacy ended the day one of the idiots posted it on line.
Of course take both scenarios and it doesn’t take an Einstein to figure out and Ray Charles could see which group gets rained on and which one gets ‘puffed’ and swept ‘quietly’ under the rug.
‘WE’ need to take a page from THEIR playbook...
Keep the ‘offensive(??)’ photo in the mainstream as long as possible and some will act just to get it off the front page ....

Absolutely, I challenged them all the time. Military powers vs police powers, gun rights, foreign policy, women in combat, illegal orders, etc., etc.
I took a half dozen sporting clay shooting, dinners, football games, tailgates, other sports events, etc, etc.
Had lots of interaction with them...but I am sure I met the creme de la creme...otherwise my son wouldn’t have associated with them much.
Hope that didn’t come off too holier than though. My son was a very serious student/athlete and steered clear of slackers...which there were some.
No place is perfect.
I also had great talks on military history too.
Great to hear! There are still good people out there. Perhaps these fine young people will replace the conservative officers that Obama purged from the military over the last 8 years...
IMHO, everyone in that photo should be kicked out of the academy.
Thanks for your service, lacrew.
I’d been thinking I’d like my granddaughter in SC to be able to attend The Citadel (which currently has no service obligation after graduation). However, with their recent inability to come to a decision, and hold to military standards regarding a prospective enrollee who wants to were a hijab, I’m more inclined to think FTC to that whole idea.
“IMHO, everyone in that photo should be kicked out of the academy.”
Sadly, in a month, everyone in that photo will be a commissioned officer. They are all First Class cadets (seniors).
And, the one on the right, first row, she has 5 chevrons. This makes her a Cadet Battalion Commander - a significant leadership position. The one on the left, back row, also has at least one extra chevron - again placing her in a leadership position.
Thanks for the heads up.
We will leave the thread here because it was originally posted yesterday.

LOL. OBAMA PHONE! O-BA-MA! O-BA-MA! O-BA-MA! O-BA-MA!
Treason! Hang’em all!
I’ll tell you that every single one of them is an unqualified token, for the simple reason that anyone bright enough to qualify for West Point would know better than to do something like that. These aren’t sorority girls at a party school; in theory they are smart and disciplined students from the top of their classes.
West Point is just another taxpayer-funded training program for foreign enemies; these people in the photo aren’t “American”. It is no wonder we lost our last two wars; by all indications we’ll lose the next one (wherever it may take place) as well.
What? BS!!
One of the more culturally strange developments in America is the gradual shift toward Marxism in Church politics while at the same time, the left is accusing Christians of homophobia, paternalism, and bastions of right wing ideology - clinging to their Bibles. Weird.
Unfortunately, you are entirely correct.
Hopefully things will change. What an insult to all the other cadets and WP alum that these vermin share the same halls.
