Rush says it’s the not the first time her gender has been called into question. She says another time she went into the women’s locker room at a gym.

“A lady came and tapped me on the back and said, ‘Excuse me, sir,” she said. “And as soon as I turned around, she said, ‘I’m sorry. sorry. I thought you were a boy.’’

Turns out the man's mother was in the restroom and he thought she was a man and went in to make sure his mother was okay. He in fact did nothing wrong. Instead he was acting out of concern for his mother like any good son would do.

I have a daughter, almost 5 yrs old.

She is at the point where, when we are out and about, she wants to use the bathrooms all by herself.

Many times she did not emerge on my schedule and I had to corral a female simply to sick her head in the door and yell for her, because I sure as hell am not gonna stick my head in a woman’s bathroom and yell.
