My latest toy is a real weather station. I bought an Accu-rite for about $140.00???? can't remember. It was heck getting it up, but it is now firmly attached to the trellis. On a ten foot tall aluminum pole. I love the rain feature and the wind and wind speed. I haven't gotten used to the dew point yet. It seems to take a lot of rain to get it to start registering. The deck is plenty wet when the thing reads .01. But then it took a lot of rain to make something in the glass gauge too.

I too put on the hooded sweatshirt with extra hat and tried to mow the lawn. Just plugged up the bagger tube again.

The earth boxes have snow peas, Swiss chard and some beets showing.

Grass clippings make a good temporary mulch
or placed in compost as nitrogen rich green manure !

That weather station sounds interesting. Hubby used to do teach the kids how to predict the weather. These days though we just go to weather.com. LOL
