A fight at Denny’s is not news. Ask anyone who has ever worked there. Furniture-throwing brawls with full police response are a regular occurrence there, particularly after bar-closing time.

This almost always works in cases of a kid who can't be controlled in a restaurant...
"You know, Maam, I actually have a nephew who was raised more or less the way you are raising that child..."
They will almost invariably answer: "What's he doing now?"
The reply: "He's in a federal penitentiary wishing he'd been raised properly..."
