A writer tells of a clinic worker who recounted a nightmare she was having:
Another writer told of a nurse who dreamed that she was stuffing a baby into the mouth of [an antique] vase. The baby was looking at her with a pleading expression. Around the vase was a white ring. She interpreted this as representing the other nurses looking upon her act with condemnation.
He drew the conclusion that her dream shows that unconsciously the act of abortion was experienced as an act of murder. It should be noted that this nurse was strongly committed intellectually to the new abortion law. Her reaction was typical. Regardless of ones religious or philosophic orientation, the unconscious view of abortion remains the same. This was the most significant thing that was learned as a result of these sessions.

Interesting experience at the Denver Planned Parenthood clinic today.
One of 200 locations where PP’s marketing in Baby Body Parts was being protested.
1st, There was a “Save” today when one would be “customer” understood what was going on with the sale of Baby parts. She declared “I can’t go into a place that does that!” and left.
It closes at Noon and I was the only one still there as the workers began leaving.
It was clear that I was praying at the entrance and a lady who worked there, exited on the way to her car, and waived, giving me a big sincere smile.
Of course, I smiled and waived back.
Now, I can’t read minds, but that was not the type of reaction I expected from someone working there.

Thanks for posting this.
Definitely interesting and hard to wrap my brain around. Took me a couple of years to figure out my ex’s family so I would think it was a mental illness.
People KNOW Right from Wrong from the time they are little children; they just choose to ignore it. :(
It is time for these, conscience or not, to start 'aborting' themselves!
There are a LOT of abortion services people (men included) who end up having very strong, and sometimes deadly reactions to the work they are doing. Those who have opted to have an abortion(s) Frequently have strong reactions as well, eventually, if not sooner.
As I read the account of the dream in the op, something different struck me about post-abortion nightmares. I’d always considered the dreams to be a psychological response, but tonight the idea of these dreams being a spiritual response, hit me.
I was thinking about the vase described in the dream. If you tip a vase upside down, it resembles a uterus. If she is attempting to stuff the baby in the jar, is it reasonable to think that in fact she really wanted to put the baby back into the uterus?
Then there was the white ring around the jar. White is frequently used biblically to represent purity, or something which at least externally appears pure. Is it reasonable that the white ring around this possible uterine surrogate represents the sanctity of birth/life/conception..ie there is purity and integrity in pregnancy and birth, not to mention the child itself. The ring being like a halo that we often see in artist renditions of holy people.
God is known to reach out to people in their sleep, people sometimes recognize that God is trying to tell them something important. We as humans don’t always grasp the symbols accurately. Sometimes it takes another to interpret the dream. Biblical examples include Joseph (son of Jacob who was kidnapped and sold by his brothers) and Daniel. They interpreted dreams for Kings.
Back to the dream:perhaps the white ring isn’t the disapproval of nurses, the woman having the dream is a nurse too. And perceived disapproval is more likely to be her own, regarding what she’s doing, or even God’s disapproval of it.
This was just a thought which occures while reading.
After having experienced the agony of other post abortive women, many of them find that the secular psychological approach doesn’t quite reach to the heart of the issue. These women seek out a spiritual healing for their sin, and often find forgiveness from God as they repent of their deed(s). Many become ‘pro-life’ themselves, and become actively involved in the movement in one capacity or another. For some, doing so is a continuation of repentance, an act of contrition, but the motivation that counts is mercy, compassion and understanding.
A friend active in the pro-life movement described how their most effective tactic was singing “Happy Birthday” (which could be done from a legal distance); many women turned away in tears.
God bless you for your work!
She should. For working there and aiding abetting murder.
