Well, well, well .....
Yes, I’m bothered by hypocrisy. I don’t see Trump as a hypocrite. He’s living his life as he presents himself, an imperfect person who wants to do what’s best for his family, his nation, and those in need.
What does Matthew Ch6 vs #1 mean to you?...What is that?
You and Ted Cruz go to the same church? You must, how else would your pastor have a clue as to whether or not Ted Cruz tithes, what;s the low down on Trump according to your pastor who is obviously the epitome of a Christian as shown by his predilection to gossiping.
1 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
2 Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:
4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly. What’s a “alm’ I ain’t Muslim. I give jobs, money, time to those that need it and do not suffer those that who don’t want to work for it. I will not give to ORGANIZED CHARITIES who only return .05% of my money to those in need of my money. Proselytize some other person. Nobody ever helped me, nor do I expect them to.
Just something some dead guy said once.
When you say “his family”, how many wives and mistresses are you including?
the only kind
WHAT IS YOUR POINT?? Trump has never been secretive about his life story.
You might ask your pastor where Christians were ever commanded to tithe. I’d like to know where they were.
Under the Mosaic covenant, Jews were to tithe their crops and herds, to feed the Levitical priests, who didn’t have tribal lands. They were told to bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, a storage area in the temple. The tithe wasn’t on capital gains. A gold miner didn’t tithe his gold.
If I’m wrong, I can be shown, from the scriptures, that is.
You posted this idiocy.
Tithing was not one of the continued portions of the NT in Acts 15.
Jesus said in Luke 11:42 that we should be most concerned with practicing justice and the love of God, but that we also should not forget about tithing, and that is not a bad approach at all. However, there is no solid NT reiteration of tithing for Christians.
Truthfully, though, there really is nothing in the Old Testament of what we consider tithing in our era. One tenth of income really is not reflective of the intent, practice, and purpose of OT tithing.
Why would anyone stand there while a Mormon went all TV preacher and called YOU the "RAISING OF THE SAINTS" (whatever that means) and "THE WHITE HORSE OF PROPHECY" (whatever that means) and "THE ANOINTED ONE", or require his wife, an independent career woman, to go around calling him, "THE FACE OF GOD"?
The forgiveness issue. I have heard some say that since they are saved by grace, there is no need as Christ already forgave you. I don’t quite see it that way.
So, please, my friend, tell me your pastor’s plan for a better alternative than Ted Cruz. Or, was your pastor just shooting from the lip?
BTW, and not that it really matters, I am a Trump supporter.
Thanks for clarifying :)
Sure. Then they take a tax credit for only 1%. Uh, huh. Doesn’t everybody?
Well stated.
The Cross was all Judgment.
Forgiveness now only occurs upon repentance and confession to God the Father, through faith in what Christ provided at the Cross.
Great post. Thanks.
