The USS Harry S. Truman is celebrating the work of its crew after setting the record for ordnance dropped on ISIS. The Truman launched over 1,118 ordinance pieces against terrorist targets over the past five months, surpassing the 1,085 dropped by the USS Theodore Roosevelt's pilots in 2015.
The Truman’s Carrier Air Wing 7 flew 1,407 combat sorties and dropped over 580 tons of ordnance on the Islamic State.
“Since our arrival in the Arabian Gulf, the Truman Strike Group has been conducting operations around the clock,” Capt. Ryan B. Scholl, Truman’s commanding officer, told a Navy journalist. “This deployment is busier than any other I’ve seen. Every Sailor is doing great work individually and executing as a combat team to reach this milestone. It is due to this dedication as a combined force that Truman is making a significant difference fighting for our country.”

He probably only lets them have 2 hours per squadron flight time a day.
1,100 “pieces of ordnance” in 180 days?
That could include 20mm cannon rounds, technically.
Even if it’s ALL JDAM’s, that is, what, less than 6 bombs daily..?

If you trigger the F-18’s M71A2 (the cannon) at the higher rate of fire, you can get 1,100 off in about 13 seconds.
We have NO idea of what was dropped, what was hit.
Note that Bill Clinton sent Apache’s to Bosnia BECAUSE THEY **POLLED WELL** AS MAKING HIM SEEM TOUGH.

A BFUB can drop about 12.5 tons of bombs in one run. So not quite this much, but 4 could...
Did any of the 7.5 bombs per day wipe out anything other than a gnat or two?

This “achievement” is one in following illegal orders. There has been no declaration of war against Syria and the period prescribed by the War Powers Act is long since past.
From the other hand our government is arming and training and funding this very same “enemy”.
A pointless, useless waste of our tax dollars, the entire enterprise. Good for military contractors, bad for America.
Bring the boys back home, we have our own borders that need defending.
