The Kelpie was owned by Victoria dairy farmer Brian McLaren.
He told a local newspaper that she died on Sunday night in her basket.
"She was 30. She was still going along nicely last week. She was walking from the dairy to the office and growling at the cats and all that sort of thing," Brian told the Weekly Times.

Just wow. I had a little dog born in 1985, that lived to be 18. This dog was born a year later. Her age is mind-boggling in dog years.
Our faithful companions all deserve a gentle easy end of life.

I can see that. And, your answer is a wise response. The replies with invective are not wise. Each person is entitled to his or her opinion on the matter. The recent development in the country of wanting to finish off people with whom one disagrees is going to lead to bloodshed and folks better start realizing there are consequences to attacking people for little or no reason.

My B-I-L has great Danes. They are great. He just lost one and I said: Well you will get to see her again on “Rainbow Bridge”. I had to explain as he is staunch catholic. He said “no way” as pets don’t have souls. He said the beauty of dogs is that they are short lived and easy to forget. This former Catholic disagrees with him.
