He said that if the claims were correct then Lewandowski should be fired. That is exactly the right position. First reports were that in fact the claims were true as evidenced by the police initial reports and actions.
My observations based on the photo/video evidence and the police reports is that Lewandowski initially lied, then backed away from denial, but the woman overstated the degree of action by Lewandowski. She clearly was pulled back, but it did not appear to be “violent”.
Bottom line, Cruz made an appropriate statement based on initial reports. In any case the importance of this has been way overblown in order to have something to attack Cruz with.
Theres no doubt, physically assaulting a reporter is a firing offence.
Do you have the whole quote or whatever? That’s the only one I have seen. Also, Glenn Beck bought into it, but I don’t hold that against Cruz.
