The Denver Broncos have lost their two main quarterbacks from their epic 2016 Super Bowl Championship winning season. We need a proven winner to continue to move this team in the right direction. Coach Gary Kubiak's offense would thrive with Tebow under center. He and the legendary John Elway can make this happen. We dont need a subpar throwaway from some other team, we need an original Bronco who has the fire, desire, and love of the game to play as a Bronco again! As a bonus the Bronco fans would be ecstatic! He just wins, we all know this! #TebowTime
well FRiend. i guess we disagree on the “#1 desire of EVERY NFL organization.” the nfl organization is just a small piece of the “conspiracy,” your word. i believe that the “conspiracy” against tebow is the same one against all the Body of Christ. that conspiracy is one of the “prince of the air”, of “principalities and powers,” “of spiritual wickedness in high places.” the nfl is just a pawn in that battle. tebow’s been fighting that battle for us for years now. and he’s having great effect (witness this article and 1000’s like it). he is just hammering them with everything he does on and off the field. may God continue to bless him.
Tebow? Extremely smart and driven. Big, fast, and hard to bring down. Decent-ish deep ball.
Tebow’s problem is that he’s honestly kind of a klutz.
Never could get the timing and foot-work down to run rhythm plays. Also had a very noisy and long release that hurt him throwing touch passes.
Honestly don’t think he’d be a great fit for Kubiak’s style of offense or vice-versa.
No, they didn’t. He was hired as 2nd or 3rd string. That’s totally different physically & mentally.
No super bowl this year for the Nags...
Very good points. Also, Fox was a passing offense coach. Kubiac is more balanced so I see a better fit now for Tebow. Heck, just putting him on the roster would make up for some of the lost ticket and merchandise sales from Manning leaving.
And he couldn't even make any of the teams as second or third string. He's not a first string QB. Or second string. Or third string.
Of one thing I'm sure, the Patriots couldn't fit him in as a back up, and I really thought they would. With his old coach pushing him, I don't think Belichick would have let him go if he thought there was talent that he could work with.
When Elway got Manning, Denver fans forgave him fast.
someone in an earlier post suggested it was Tebow’s instant popularity that bothered Elway. that could be true. up to that point Elway had been the Denver football hero, the Big Man on Campus.
Clearly, then, he's qualified for Congress.
Could he share his duties as a Florida congressman?
Elway didn't want a new star in town. By bringing in Manning for a few years Elway gets to keep his status because Manning's best years were done somewhere else and Manning was not going to be sticking around Denver after he finished.
Everyone thinks that just because a guy has good size and is thick and somewhat more athletic than a tackle or a fullback, that they would be a “great TE” in the pros.
Got news, it takes way the hell more than that, there are hundreds of big, fast, strong, athletic 6-7, 270lb guys but only a few Gronks who can actually be great TEs—and that includes blocking like tackles and guards, catching like WRs, running like big bulls, and lasting a whole season without getting beat to shit.
Tebow is not big enough, not quick enough, knows nothing about blocking or truly delivering a blow on LBs and safeties, and he proved he has no hands.
Tells you how steep the pyramid gets in the pros, when hundreds of guys like Tebow—and many much better than him—can’t make an NFL team, even a bad one.
The suggestion that a team should pick up Tebow as a tight end or a fullback or some other position has always puzzled me too. The idea that he could come in and beat out people who have been playing the position for years in high school and college doesn't make any sense at all.
Right.
“The Broncos were 14 before he became the starter, but began winning with him on the field, often coming from behind late in the fourth quarter, until they won their first AFC West title and first playoff game since 2005,”
I guess all those games he helped them win were just flukes. Obviously there were plenty of starting quarterbacks who couldn’t do that for their teams that year.
Look at many of his wins and it's pretty clear that the defense won those for him. When they were on, they were a steel curtain. When they were not, it was a blowout. In five of his seven wins the Broncos scored less than 19 points. In his last three regular season games, all losses, Tebow was a combined 30 for 73 with four interceptions, ten sacks, and one touchdown. Tebow led the league in delay of game penalties. Tebow might be able to win on the occasions when his support helps him overcome his defects. But he can't manufacture wins. Four teams, count 'em four teams, have given Tebow a look. All four have decided that he's not capable of playing at the pro level.
“All four have decided that he’s not capable of playing at the pro level.”
That’s YOUR assessment. It doesn’t take into account his broken ribs, and all the attention surrounding Tebow because of his religious beliefs and the circus the media created. People didn’t want him because of the distraction he caused, not because of a lack of talent & ability.
Absolutely true. Paraphrasing an old saying, the NFL is lousy with talent!
If Tebow had talent and ability then the distractions and his religious beliefs wouldn't mean a thing.
would love to have Tebow back!! Go Broncos.
(But the morally crippled Elway would never allow someone like Tebow on his team)
Elway is a moral degenerate who could not stand Tebow around. It shone too much light on Elways lifestyle.
