“And that was ‘The End of the World’ by Skeeter Davis, a name I still... find... confusing...”

A “skeeter” is a mosquito in the South.

The quest is given by the guy who operates the Silver Shroud radio show. He is in the Memory Den in Goodneighbor.

Hancock is pretty entertaining while you are doing the Shroud’s quest.

And way overdressed.

I wore the Silver Shroud as armor for the rest of the game. Never really used the armor suits. But that was before the Survival Mode became Masochism for One.

She can really sing. Plus The arrangements on all her songs are very tasty. Somebody put together a superb group of musicians to back her up.

But... is the nightclub singer the right one for you Mr. Mataz? Cricket is the girl for you, yes?

Something I discovered today: Magnolia is played by Lynda Carter.

Yes, THAT Lynda Carter. Wonder Woman.

She also sang at least 5 songs for F4.

You can also start it by talking to Kent in the Memory Den.

Just a heads up, wear the costume throughout the entire quest. There’s some great dialogue which is only available if you’re wearing the costume. You son’t have to use the gun, though, that thing sucks.

It is said that “The End of the World” may have been inspired by the Cuban Missile Crisis, which occurred a few weeks before the song was released.

I’m a child of the 60’s C & W was my favorite music, but I did do a little cross over when it came to Elvis.

Today it’s the traditional C & W and Gospel I seek when I listen to music. Still have a few different genre’s I like a song or two on but it still goes back to the 60-70’s.
