So, FReepers, a welcome break from pollyticks. What do you think of my new baby? At this moment, I am taking a break from sawing the PVC tubes from which I am fashioning a kitten gate of my own design for my kitchen. The kitchen will give Zizu a lot more room and ventilation to reside in while she is in her 2 week quarantine. Monday she will be introduced to my own vet, who will first keel over from cuteness overload and then proceed to give Zizu a complete and thorough exam. Zizu obviously needs some groceries, as she is pretty thin from a rough previous life, but I think a bit of eye ointment and possibly a second dose of ear mite drops will set her right as far as vet stuff. I will try to get a fresh sample of Zizu product from the litter box to see if she has worms. She already had one dose of worm medicine at my suggestion to the sketchy vet who the rescue group used to board their rescues. He obviously didn't want to spend a dime he didn't have to.

Decades ago I had a tortoise-shell calico like her. I thought she was the most beautiful cat, lother people did not see it at all. To me the coloring was so special.
PVC sawing: I spent too many years doing that, just recently bought a pair of those special shears sold for cutting PVC pip and they are great. No sawdust, accurate, easy to hold. Forget sawing and get a pair.

Congratulations on your new addition; she’s beautiful! Is she a calico? Zizu is a great name btw! We are a four cat household, and things just wouldn’t be the same without them.
Sorry to hear about the loss of your previous cat to cancer. It’s hard to watch them suffer and lose the vitality they once had. We lost four of our previous cats in a 12 month span. We got them all fairly close together, and so they all passed fairly close together. Still miss them.
Once again, congrats on Zizu...sounds like she’s going to have a great home!
If you have time, please post more pics of Zizu and your Maine Coon. We’re hoping to get a Maine Coon in the not too distant future...beautiful cats!

Congratulations on your new cat, she is very pretty......
This poor little girl doesn't even know how to play with toys.
Mine doesn't either. She has two toys, Petey Possum and squeeker mouse but only seems to play with them when I'm out of the house and they end up outside my bedroom door.
She's not affectionate, does not like to be picked up but yet is always just on the outskirts watching me.
She's a floor cat, meaning that she doesn't jump on tables and stuff and when I go to bed and turn on the TV, only occasionally can I coax her to come up and join me and when she does, it's only for about 10 minutes then it's off the bed and into her own which is just outside my bedroom door........
I should also mention that her name is Squeek and she got her name because she can not meow...........Like right now, which is close to her dinner time, I'll hang out in the kitchen and turn around to see her sitting watching me and she'll opening her mouth attempting to meow.
With that being said, she DOES know how to howl and has done so on numerous occasions over the years at the wee hours of the morning when a feral cat comes onto my back deck and up to the door wall.........She gets pissed!
Anyway, Squeek is a good cat and purrrfect for my lifestyle.........
