If you could keep your eyesight focused for long enough to see what my point was, then you would have noticed that I said that the Politico survey was bs..but so is Trump’s Jedi Mind Trick of putting ‘Lyin Ted’ on the front of his followers brain. It might surprise you that I am not for any candidate until the convention occurs. I am tired, though, of how many normally intelligent people have decided to take the low road on this forum and jump on the easy path of mudslinging....If you were at least somewhat objective, you would be able to see that Trump lies consistently, as most salesmen do, and as most politicans do. However, if you just want to park your brain, that is fine. But don’t waste your time trying convince anyone of anything. They won’t listen.
How was he not a real Texan? Explain that to me. I was born and raised in Texas many decades ago, so I understand what a Texan is. To be born in Texas is a birthright, but to be allowed to serve in Texas is a privilege.

That is where we differ. I am not attacking you. I am merely pointing out that if you researched Trump as well as you do his detractors, you might form a different opinion. I am neither for or against Trump or Cruz. What I am against is anyone following their candidate to the point of ignoring reason. I have participated in this forum for a long time and I am sad to see its quality go down. The audience has resorted to personal attacks because they want change so much that they are easy targets for Trump’s mind control techniques. ‘Little Marco’, ‘Lyin Ted’, etc. It is not new with Trump - any salesman knows this technique. The important thing is not that you feel attacked. I couldn’t care less for whom you vote for. The important thing is to see Free Republic degraded to the same hysterical state as the Democratic Underground. That really make’s me sad.

Well, let’s see who can out “Texas” each other. I am a 78-year-old 5th generation Texas lady and voted Republican ever since I was 18. My gr-gr-grandfather received a land-grant from Sam Houston in the original Robertson County. Can you get more “Texan” than that? Now as far as Cruz is concerned, he had a dual citizenship with Canada and the US and should not have been eligible to run. But he lied about it and didn’t tell us Texans the truth. And yes it is a birthright AND a privilege to be a “real” Texan.
