LOL. No, not really. QuickTime for Windows was always kind of the red-headed stepchild; I always considered it half-baked and rather unstable.

It arguably had a purpose in the beginning, long, long ago when Windows didn't have squat for media playback applications.

QuickTime hasn't been relevant on Windows in many years. This is just cleanup.

But if you just want to hate on Apple, you go right ahead. This is, after all, a Windows thread, and there are plenty of fellow Apple haters among the Redmond faithful. :-)

Be nice.

He didn’t even impugn your/the Apple CEO’s sexual preferences, current employer or anything....

Must be a newby, or the #AttackApple cadre is going soft on us. (Or maybe they’re worried that FR is becoming so culturally annoyed about the number of semi-pro trolls on the site, they might just get a thermonuclear zot along with the genuine bad acts.)

BTW, QuickTime on all of the computers in The Homestead is....gone.

If QuickTime was the red-headed step-child, then Real Player was the albino retard! QuickTime was marginally tolerable. Real Player was akin to Flash: an absolute scourge.
