Not scientific at all, but balderdash, whatever that word means.

Are homosexual men born that way or do they just get sucked into it?

There’s a homo gene?

“Prevalence of homosexuality in men is stable throughout time since many carry the genes”

Which genes are those? Oh, that’s right, you can’t name them, because nobody has ever found any.

It’s amazing how male/boy rape can effectively keep a practice alive.

So.... if half of heterosexuals carry the “gay” gene, that means...

that at least 25% of the general public are genetically predisposed to being gay. Since only 1-3% are that means...

that 90% or so of people who are genetically predisposed to being gay aren’t gay. That means...

that genetics is not a primary factor in being gay.

Which is not surprising since a gene which means you have 100% chance of failure to reproduce offspring would require a fantastic genetic advantage to those who have 1 of 2 copies of the gene.

Around half of all heterosexual men and women potentially carry so-called homosexuality genes that are passed on from one generation to the next. This has helped homosexuality to be present among humans throughout history and in all cultures, even though homosexual men normally do not have many descendants who can directly inherit their genes.

Yeah, ok, sure. Mind telling us what gene that is, Springer?

How about the prevalence for other common mental disorders? Did not bother to study those, did you?

Genes that they can’t find, no matter how hard they try.

If it’s genetic then that means there can be a solution to this genetic malady and that we can screen carriers of the mutant gene and perhaps fix it somehow.

not to be rude

but isn’t there a steady-state for other things that would be classified as birth defects?....cleft palate, clubfoot, mental disorders, blindness, deafness?

According to previous research, sexual orientation is influenced to a degree by genetic factors and is therefore heritable.

No credible scientific study has established a genetic cause for homosexuality. The base premise of this thesis is corrupt.

With all the work being done on genetics, we should be able to cure this defect. How much is the U.S. government giving researchers to correct this gene that leads to a shorter life span than any major disease?

I’ve looked at some numbers, maybe the same that this person did. Allowing that some people experiment, the percentage looks like 4 percent. That’s 1 out of 8. If homosexuality were the result, exactly, of 3 pairs of genes, that would be about right.

But, I think it’s not exactly genetic. Maybe the genetics give you a “pre-disposition.” Consider left-handedness. Nobody is strongly left-handed. Some people are weakly left-handed, some ambidextrous, some weakly right-handed, and some strongly right-handed.

The strongly right-handed are the only one who can say they were born that way. All the others can, with training, be left- or right-handed, or ambidextrous.

Nobody would ever think of hetero-aversion therapy. For the strongly heterosexual, that would be ridiculous. But, gay-aversion therapy is out there, and it works, which is why there’s opposition to it.

As for the genetic research (using identical and non-identical twins, and non-twin siblings), I am afraid that the evidence isn’t clear. The people in the area come to different conclusions.

All hell will break loose in the Lib community when families get their unborn children tested for the “gay” gene. If positive, the abortionist will be the next stop.
